Terms of Use

Terms for using Openbox.

These Terms explain the rules for Openbox accounts, courses, one-time purchases, memberships, learning records, and organization-sponsored access.

Last updated: July 29, 2026

Agreement and service scope

These Terms are an agreement between you and Openbox Learn LLC, which operates the Openbox platform ("Openbox," "we," "us," or "our"). Openbox provides online courses, memberships, learner dashboards, progress tracking, assessments, completion records, certificates, and organization-sponsored learning features.

By creating an account, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge the Privacy Policy. The Privacy Policy explains how Openbox handles personal information.

If you do not agree to these Terms or are not legally able to accept them, do not create an account or use paid Openbox services.

Accounts and access

Course access may come from a one-time course purchase, an active All-Access Membership, an organization assignment, or an administrative enrollment.

Provide accurate account and billing information, protect your sign-in credentials, and tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised. You are responsible for activity under your account. Accounts and paid access may not be shared, resold, transferred, or used to bypass access controls.

One-time course purchases

A one-time purchase gives the purchasing account ongoing access to the identified course while Openbox continues to offer and host it, subject to these Terms. It does not include the full library, membership-only features, or unrelated future courses.

Other Openbox pages may describe this as "lifetime access." That phrase means ongoing account access under the sentence above; it does not mean the learner's lifetime or guarantee that a course, every lesson, or the Openbox platform will be available forever. Course updates may be included when available, but no particular future update is promised.

Access may end after a refund or payment reversal, for a serious violation of these Terms, or if the course or service must be withdrawn. If Openbox permanently withdraws a purchased course, Openbox will provide any notice or remedy required by applicable law.

Memberships, automatic renewal, and cancellation

An active All-Access Membership opens the eligible published course library while the membership is active and in good standing. It does not convert library courses into one-time purchases.

Monthly and annual memberships renew automatically at the selected plan's price and cadence until you cancel. Stripe Checkout shows the selected recurring amount, billing interval, and any taxes actually charged before you submit payment.

After checkout, you can view the renewal date and manage or cancel the membership online from Dashboard > Manage billing. Cancel before the next renewal to stop the next charge. The billing portal shows when cancellation takes effect and when membership access is scheduled to end. Cancellation does not automatically refund a charge already made except when an offer says so or applicable law requires it.

If a recurring price changes, the new price applies prospectively. Openbox will provide any notice and cancellation opportunity required by law before the changed charge takes effect. Individually purchased courses remain governed by the one-time purchase terms when a membership ends.

Payments, taxes, and billing questions

Stripe processes consumer checkout and billing. Openbox does not store full card numbers in the application. The applicable product page and Stripe Checkout show the purchase price, billing cadence, discounts, and any taxes or other charges collected with the transaction.

Offer-specific refund or credit terms will be stated with the offer. Otherwise, refunds are provided when required by applicable law. Contact support promptly about a duplicate or incorrect charge or if paid access was not delivered. Failed payments, refunds, disputes, cancellations, and expired subscriptions may affect access.

Course and service changes

Openbox may improve, replace, or remove course lessons, assessments, features, or third-party materials as the library and platform evolve. Course descriptions and availability are not promises that every item will remain unchanged.

Links, embedded services, and third-party learning materials may be governed by separate terms and privacy practices. Openbox is responsible only to the extent required by law or an express written agreement.

Intellectual property and permitted use

Course materials, videos, text, assessments, designs, logos, and platform content are owned by Openbox Learn LLC or its licensors.

Openbox grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use content included with your authorized access. You may download a resource only when Openbox or the content owner provides a download feature for it. You may not otherwise copy, record, publish, share, resell, scrape, or redistribute course content without permission.

Organization-sponsored learning

If an employer or other organization sponsors your access, that organization may assign learning, set dates, and view the work identity, activity, attendance, scores, completion records, evidence, and other training information described in the Privacy Policy.

The organization's requirements and its relationship with you are separate from these consumer Terms. Organization services may be governed by a signed order form, data processing agreement, services agreement, or other addendum. If signed organization terms conflict with these public Terms, the signed terms control for the organization services they cover. These public Terms continue to govern your personal account and consumer purchases unless the signed terms expressly say otherwise.

Organization uploads and content rights

An organization that is permitted to upload videos, documents, images, learning packages, or third-party materials must have the rights and authority needed for Openbox to store, process, display, and use that material for the organization's learning program.

The uploader must not submit material that infringes intellectual-property, privacy, publicity, confidentiality, employment, or other rights. Openbox may quarantine, restrict, or remove material when authorization cannot be established or the material creates a security or legal risk. Separate organization terms may add requirements.

Assessments, certificates, and completion records

Some courses may include lesson completion tracking, knowledge checks, assessments, certificates, or detailed completion records.

Completion records reflect recorded platform activity and configured course requirements. They are not professional licenses, accredited credentials, legal advice, or a guarantee that a learner or organization has satisfied a regulatory obligation unless an authorized written agreement expressly says otherwise.

Acceptable use

You may not interfere with platform security, attempt unauthorized access, share paid access, abuse video playback, reverse engineer protected features, upload harmful content, or use Openbox in a way that disrupts the service.

Openbox may suspend or restrict access when reasonably needed to investigate or protect learners, content, payment systems, security, legal rights, or platform operations. When appropriate, access may be restored after the issue is resolved.

Educational content and professional advice

Openbox courses are designed for learning and professional development. Course content does not replace legal, compliance, human resources, security, medical, financial, or other professional advice.

Organizations and learners should consult qualified advisors when training relates to regulated obligations or organization-specific requirements. Training content and a completion record do not by themselves establish legal compliance.

Changes to these terms

Openbox may update these Terms as the platform, course library, membership options, or legal requirements evolve.

When an update is material and acceptance is required, Openbox will present the current version for affirmative acceptance before the affected account flow continues.
